Getting Started

Apolemia is a distributed inference grid for deploying, managing, and scaling Large Language Models across a worldwide hardware enclave.

To begin using the network, you must first initialize your node identity via the Console, and then provision an API Key for external integrations.

Managing API Keys

API Keys are the primary method of authenticating your applications and nodes with the Apolemia Grid. Your keys carry the same permissions as your user account.

Generating a New Key

  • Navigate to the API Keys section in the Apolemia Console.
  • Click the Generate Key button.
  • Provide a recognizable name for the key (e.g., production-cluster-1).
  • Copy the generated key immediately. It will not be shown again.

Authenticating Requests

Pass your API key as a Bearer token in the Authorization header of your HTTP requests.

Bash

# Example API request

curl -X POST https://apolemia.knolink.co.za/api/inference \

-H "Authorization: Bearer apo_abc123def456" \

-H "Content-Type: application/json" \

-d '{"messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "Hello Node"}]}'

Node.js
const response = await fetch("https://apolemia.knolink.co.za/api/inference", {
  method: "POST",
  headers: {
    "Authorization": "Bearer apo_abc123def456",
    "Content-Type": "application/json"
  },
  body: JSON.stringify({
    messages: [{ role: "user", content: "Hello Apolemia!" }]
  })
});
const data = await response.json();
Python
import requests

response = requests.post(
    "https://apolemia.knolink.co.za/api/inference",
    headers={"Authorization": "Bearer apo_abc123def456"},
    json={"messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "Hello Apolemia!"}]}
)
print(response.json()["output"])

Command Line Interface

The Apolemia CLI allows you to manage nodes, deploy models, and stream logs directly from your terminal.

# Install globally

npm install -g @apolemia/cli

# Login using your API key

apolemia login --token apl_abc123def456
